Competition to design a Christmas card for 2011-Caroline Gardener.
This year is the 25th Anniversary of The Meningitis Trust, and Caroline Gardener brings a awareness campaign and raise additional money, by holding a competition to design a Christmas card especially for the Meningitis Trust for 2011.
I have designed a card for this competition, I have chosen to keep to the colour scheme of the traditional Caroline Gardner's cards. The design I illustrated myself then edited on Adobe Illustrator, I have chosen to go for a simple cheerful and Christmassy design combining the neutral colours. I think the composition sits well and makes a good card. When printed I imagine the stars on the ball-balls to be foiled on textured paper.
Father's Day!
I have decided to make a Father's Day card with my dad's personal hobbies in mind. The hobby I've chosen his chess, I thought it would be a special way of showing my dad's interests. For fun I have made on Photoshop my dad as the King chess piece in checkmate, with a speech bubble saying 'woooooo!'. I wanted to share because it put me in a good mood and I had fun making it!
