FMP thoughts...

I have been going through many different decisions of how to answer the final concept for my last brief. I am feeling the pressure of the decision, I want to delve into something that I am passionate about, something that I can really set my mind on and produce some interesting work. I am almost 100% certain that i want to use illustration as my spiciest practice.. but how?

I have been thinking for a long time about this brief over the summer. How I want to tackle it, I want to refine my illustration skills and more practical skills furthers. I think this will really help me produce some brilliant work, as I do get tiresome when working at the computer for long hours. It often leads me to get very distracted and I find myself staring aimlessly at the screen. I want to do something more practical, that leads me to discover new things, so my illustrations reflect my experiences.

I have been thinking for a long time that I wanted to take this brief and use it to discover how people illustrate. The aim to produce a record of how people tackle the white paper/ how they get inspired. This collection of information and practice had a purpose to help those creatives who are having a creative block. 'Creative Block' being a state of mind in which an individual is having a problem with thinking creatively/ outside the box.

I was basing this idea on the concept of how I have personally made up a way of bringing spontaneous inspiration. This method is simple but effective, you just simply draw a scribble. Letting your hand break free, darting in all directions. Producing something, at first glance, nothing much. The trick is, then to analyse your scribble, I wanted to recreate the same thought process then figuring out images in the clouds. This way of thinking is spontaneous and allows your brain to think the unexpected. Looking at your scribble you could make out a shape, a face, an animal, that you would of previously thought of in a totally unique perspective.

Design for 1st end of year show.

This will be the concept for our 1st out of three shows. We have decided on the way we want to brand us as a collective but also individually. We came up the thought that all our eyes are individual and have different colours, we wanted to use this in our scheme. I have mocked up the initial idea, drawn from the name 'no artificial colours'. The name of the event has to still be decided, we have taken a photo of each member of the classes eye. We want to brand our selfs as future visionaries and keeping all the colours, logo very neutral colours. This ties in well with our displaying boards, with are purely made out of wood.

All because the lady loves Cliff.Richard

I have designed and illustrated this birthday card for my grandma's 87th birthday!! As you can gather she has a massive crush on him... So this card should be a hit!

Im just hoping that she thinks It looks like Cliff!

Cliff

With not much concentration involved I designed a logo. I quite like the production logo I have made my self on the back... So I may carry this on to a new website I will be creating soon! Its perfect as I do love cats and my name shorted rhymes with cat.
