War On Want

My Pictogram for my idea for my second dimension, of the hanger.
My next project was creating a campaign for a charity 'War On Want' who stand for justice and argue against the goverment on a regular basis. The task was to make a poster for a bus shelter, this poster had to appeal to a younger audience between 20-30 year olds. I wanted to bring a recognisable context to the image, so i focused on hangers which was my second dimention which i come back to. The hangers linked with one of 'War On Wants' causes helping sweatshop workers, so i linked the clothes hanger to the fashion industery. The image above representates the supporting text 'Person Behind The Purchase, Think' i have perposly shown the women hanging from the hanger like a peice of clothing, showing a women in the place of where the clothing should be hung.


The sweatshop worker looks tired, looking out to the reader for help, she is almost dissappearing into the darkness. There is a small paragraph at the bottom, so if you do have time standing at that bus shelter you could read more into the situation that 'War On Want' is trying to help solve. The perpose of this campaign is to convince people to realise the issues and donate. I have included 'War On Wants' logo and there website if people want to look into what else they do and to donate. I have put 'Gap' the clothing range logo, as part of my second dimention for extra reason for them to join the campiagn, free advertising.
