FMP thoughts...

I have been going through many different decisions of how to answer the final concept for my last brief. I am feeling the pressure of the decision, I want to delve into something that I am passionate about, something that I can really set my mind on and produce some interesting work. I am almost 100% certain that i want to use illustration as my spiciest practice.. but how?

I have been thinking for a long time about this brief over the summer. How I want to tackle it, I want to refine my illustration skills and more practical skills furthers. I think this will really help me produce some brilliant work, as I do get tiresome when working at the computer for long hours. It often leads me to get very distracted and I find myself staring aimlessly at the screen. I want to do something more practical, that leads me to discover new things, so my illustrations reflect my experiences.

I have been thinking for a long time that I wanted to take this brief and use it to discover how people illustrate. The aim to produce a record of how people tackle the white paper/ how they get inspired. This collection of information and practice had a purpose to help those creatives who are having a creative block. 'Creative Block' being a state of mind in which an individual is having a problem with thinking creatively/ outside the box.

I was basing this idea on the concept of how I have personally made up a way of bringing spontaneous inspiration. This method is simple but effective, you just simply draw a scribble. Letting your hand break free, darting in all directions. Producing something, at first glance, nothing much. The trick is, then to analyse your scribble, I wanted to recreate the same thought process then figuring out images in the clouds. This way of thinking is spontaneous and allows your brain to think the unexpected. Looking at your scribble you could make out a shape, a face, an animal, that you would of previously thought of in a totally unique perspective.
