EMP-Hand drawn maps

A selection of hand drawn maps through the years. How different artists have aprroached an illustrative map using imagery as the primary use of media.  

These maps give a more personal element to the map. The personal element can be found in the hand rendered side of the interaction with the map. The way some percevies an area is personal, display purley informeation can be unpersonal but when imagery comes into play a sense of style comes into play.
